We are a local women owned Connecticut small business and we are so thankful for your support!
That will take all day to answer, but to sum it up, my grandmother planted a small seed as I grew up watching her participate in the CT Garden Club activities. Then in high school Mrs. Rebecca Isaacson at the Agriculture Education Program in Middletown High School, she encouraged me to apply for a job at McInerny Florist and then from that first Flower Shop Job, I met Judy and Richard and that’s where I started developing my floral design. There are so many other mentors (like Francoise & Candi) that have molded me into the designer that I am now, but this is where it started.
My all-time favorites are Phalaenopsis orchids, Vanda orchids, fiddlehead ferns and gloriosa lilys.
Purples!
Love a good cheeseburger!
Brownies with ice cream!
I enjoy reading, well listening to books on audible while relaxing at home, on the beach, or at a park with my husband and dog in tow. I enjoy baking sweets like cake and cookies for family birthdays or holidays and listening to music while outside playing catch with our dog.
We love spending time in the summer at Virginia Beach when we have don’t have events happening.
I have 1 younger sister, she’s about 4 years younger than me.
I have 2 favorite things. One is bringing life to our clients’ ideas on their wedding day. It goes from just and idea to actually being there in person with the flowers! Second thing is I love getting photos back from all the talented photographers so I can see how the entire day went, full of smiles and love. It closes out the event for me.
I’d have to say rain and wind on a wedding day, they are a drag, but we make it work!
Your flowers should have personality. We all have our own personalities, flower designs should too. Your bouquets and/or centerpieces should reflect you and your partner's style, charm, love or some aspect of you both. There are many ways for a master designer to create designs that incorporate your personalities. Ideas can include specific wrapping styles on bouquet stems, open and airy vs compact and round, Pastel vs bold colors. We have many ideas just waiting for you!! Email us to see how we can help.
